Did anybody else see the news story last week about the woman who entered into a Civil Partnership with her lesbian lover and was then arrested because she was still married to her husband? She was charged with bigamy. What is the world coming to? Civil Partnerships are NOT marriages so how can she be a bigamist? Either they are marriages or they are not. I'm not saying that I have anything against lezzas and puffs. My views are not relevant in this matter. The law and the church and whoever need to decide exactly what a Civil Partnership is. I know they already have rules. Quite detailed rules. But if Civil Partnerships are not to be recognised as weddings how can a bigamy charge stand?
